I have always been interested in sports and fitness. I've been training with weights since I was a teenager. Growing up I would play basketball and football with my friends. I also got involved in solo sports like snowboarding and rock climbing. I love training as a way to improve myself and learn new skills.
I first learned about CrossFit many years ago in a bodybuilding magazine of all places. I liked some of the concepts but I didn't like the idea of letting someone else decide my programming.
It wasn't until December 2014, after a long conversation with Coach Nick, that I finally decided to give it a try.
I didn't take long for me to realize this was the best way to train for me. This is how I need to, want to, and must train.
I am excited to take the level one CrossFit certification in October. I look forward to using that information to continue training myself and helping others to see and enjoy the benefits of CrossFit.
